That I am not. ?I recently rediscovered an old favorite video game and am hooked (Sim Societies). ?Frankly I’d rather be building a totalitarian empire than writing this post. ?I don’t even have important things to tell you.
I could tell you that we spent all day Saturday installing a drip/ spray irrigation system for the flower beds. ?Oh thrilling! ?Or that I drove to 14 gagillion stores looking for a new valve for the timer system only to find out that the company who makes them discontinued that model and now I either have to order the damn thing online or buy a whole new assembly. ?I’m opting for buy online. ?I know you’ll be on the edge of your seat waiting to hear if it works and if my damn sprinkler system will stop waking me up at 5:30 every damn morning. ?I could just unhook the whole thing and solve that problem, but where’s the fun in that.
Even better, I a good chunk of the day at the church yesterday throwing the annual Graduates Lunch. ?That was actually the highlight of my weekend (although the sprinkler system is kinda cool). ?We honored our seniors and I cried. ?This is the first group I’ve had all the way since Freshmen at this church. ?I’ve watched these kids grow up and now they are going off to college and becoming adults. ?It’s just not fair.
Yesterday was overcast so my grand plan was for us to “have an adventure” and take some pictures somewhere. ?I let the trusty husband decide where we were going so I didn’t have to make one more decision. ?We ended up at his go-to place, the light rail and the Glass Museum grounds. ?We had a nice walk around until it was discovered that we were sorely short on snacks and didn’t want to buy anything. ?We forgot to factor in that the child eats every hour these days and we just can’t keep up with it. ?So at the furthest point away from the car and on the sidewalk of the busiest street in town the child melted down. ?I apologize to anyone who was visiting the Tacoma Art Museum yesterday. ?I didn’t mean to interrupt your enjoyment of whatever exhibit you were looking at. ?I swear he’s really a cute kid when he’s not screaming.
Aw, I think he’s cute even when being Mr. McScreamy. But that’s just the biased Auntie in me! 🙂
Love the photos, as always. does the child like turkey jerky? it was a god send when our son started the “I wanna eat every 13 seconds” routine. we made it ourselves and it’s always handy to toss in your purse, your glove box, your ….. you get the idea.
Love the photos. sorry for the meltdown.
we used turkey jerky during this phase, homemade and handy.
I love everyone of those shots… every stinkin one! Gotta steal them from you… sorry. I’m gonna redo the spare room and would like to make a family collage of pics. Thanks!!!!!!!
painfully cute. for real.
[…] we headed over to the mega home improvement store to find the long sought after valves for our sprinkler system. ?It just so happens that next door was a bike shop. ?I let the boy pick what he wanted to get […]
