For almost a year now we’ve been talking about purchasing Sweet Hope its own domain name. ?When we checked way back when sweethope.org was available. ?Unfortunately, it is no longer. ?Last week I decided to bite the bullet and get the organization its own url. ?We settled on sweethopefoundation.org. ?It is a little long, but it was the best we could do.
My brain is fairly taxed from the amount of work I have to do and trying to come up with a totally unique theme for the site was next to impossible. ?I’m on a very simple monotone kick right now and I have a tendency to like black and charcoal sites. ?I don’t know why. ?I know they are not everyone’s favorites. ?Part of the reason I like this look is because of the contrast with the black and yellow. ?The aqua came with the theme and I liked it.
The next step in the process is to establish our corporation and apply for our non-profit license. ?That won’t happen until next year since it is a very complex process.
For now here are the dates you need to mark you calender for:
October 26th: Flavor suggestions start
November 2nd: Voting begins
November 9-27: Sweet Hope Candy on sale
November 30-December 15: the chocolate factory opens
December 16th: All orders ship
We are sorry that we won’t be able to ship orders in time for Hanukkah this year. ?I can’t possibly get everything ready in time. ?You might get them by the 8th day.
What would you think of enlisting volunteers to take some of those orders off of your hands? Say, some friends across the country, who you be able to share your recipes with and open their own little chocolate factories and ship from their homes?
I think the site looks beautiful, and I can’t wait to buy chocolates (really, I won’t procrastinate) and caramels this year. Well done, you.
The site is absolutely beautiful! Love your little bumble bee. 🙂 Can’t wait to place my order this year!
The site is great but your child will kill you in a few years. He’s a friggin cute little bee 🙂
