The most exciting time of the year

Hopefully you’ve had enough time to get over your jealousy of those who got to be truffle taste testers. ?I will admit they got a posh job, but someone had to do it. ?I couldn’t send out free candy to everyone. ?Sorry.

I love Sweet Hope season. ?It used to be that I dreaded it. ?That’s bad. ?Last year we had such a good time and I had so many wonderful friends help me I grew to love it again. ?You’ve been hearing about this since July or August so I must be excited… right?

Voting for Sweet Hope flavors begins today and will continue until 6:00 (pacific time) Friday night. ?Place your votes over in the sidebar where you see the poll. ?You can vote as many times as you like and frequent voting is encouraged. ?You can also make comments in this post to campaign for your flavor(s) of choice. ?That is very much encouraged by the taste testers.

Here is a break down of what the flavors will look like if they are picked. ?This is something new since in the past I hadn’t tested the flavors prior to voting. ?This time 1/2 of the flavors are repeats and 1/2 are new (but I’ve tested them). ?A plain chocolate truffle and Candy Cane are the gimmies like usual. ?This year plain will be some kind of combo of milk and dark chocolate. ?Likely a milk chocolate center with dark chocolate coating since I coat all of the truffles with Ghirardelli dark chocolate.

Pumpkin Spice: Milk chocolate centers mixed with Pumpkin Butter and spiced coated in Dark Chocolate and topped with candied orange peel or dusted with nutmeg

Chili: Dark chocolate centers kicked up a notch with ground red pepper flake and coated in dark chocolate topped with chili chocolate shavings

Irish Cream: Milk chocolate centers combined with Irish Cream liqueur coated in dark chocolate dusted with light cocoa powder

Mocha: Dark chocolate centers infused with locally (Olympia, WA) roasted coffee coated in dark chocolate and topped with a coffee bean

Cherry: Dark chocolate-cherry centers coated in dark chocolate and topped with dried cherries

Key Lime: Dark chocolate centers combined with fresh key lime juice coated in dark chocolate and topped with turbinado sugar

Orange: Dark chocolate centers combined with fresh orange juice and orange zest coated in dark chocolate and topped with candied orange peel

Mint Julep: Milk chocolate centers with a hint of mint and Maker’s Mark bourbon coated in dark chocolate topped with powdered sugar and a sugared mint leaf

Have fun voting.

Everything goes on sale November 9th.
