Would someone please answer the damn telephone in my head? I went to bed at 9:30 last night just to escape it. Of course when I woke up this morning it was the first thing I heard. Gawd I wish it would stop. I have absolutely no hearing in my right ear and the strain of trying to hear with my already bad left ear just makes me exhausted. Fortunately, the nausea is mostly gone so I got off the couch yesterday. I spent time outside with the boys and it was nice. I got my truck washed, and did you know that it is actually blue? Who knew?
The trusty husband talked with Sister the Audiologist last night. Isn’t it nice how we have all of these medical professionals in our family? Anyway, Sister the Audiologist says that what he described was consistent with a ruptured eardrum. How I have no hearing, how junk randomly leaks out of my ear, blah blah blah. She said just to have it checked out to see how bad it is and to make sure that it is healing correctly. I have an appointment tomorrow morning at 9:00 to have it looked at. In the mean time I’ll do a lot of smiling and nodding.
Oh I hope they are able to give you something to ease the discomfort. Sounds awful!!
Wow, this has been going on a long time! Hope you feel better soon.
Oh girl, I am glad you’re going to a doctor. You sound very, very sick.
I showed Bonnie your video below this morning. She was asking what the baby’s name was, and I told her Oleg. She nodded and said, “Mama. Oleg is Russian.” I told her, yes, he is. She didn’t seem to recognize him, or the orphanage, but she knew he was Russian.
Stay home and sleep! But make sure you go to the doctor’s appointment! Hopefully D can stay home with the boy tomorrow so that you can get some more rest. Heal quickly!!!
Oh lordy. That’s just not cool. I didn’t realize such things happen from just being sick. I always figured ruptured ear drums were from, like, being at a big concert or something.
I hope you are feeling better. Take care!
