You ever have one of those days where you stare and stare at the computer screen and wonder what the hell you are going to write about? Yeah, me too. More often than not I’d just throw some photos of the boy at you. It seems to keep you happy like throwing a steak at a rabid dog. You’re happy for a minute, but then demand more. Well, I don’t have any good boy photos. I’ve fallen down on the photo taking portion of my motherly duties. Besides, I just don’t want to take photos of him when he’s all cranky and shit. Frankly that has been most of the time. I tried to give him away to the staff at work, but they wouldn’t take him when he was screaming. Some help they are.
So in lieu of boy photos you get a post about my hair. Secretly I want to be like Lauri. Ok, seriously I love her very much. I have nothing better so you get hair.
Remember that time I cut all of my hair off? You guys went all out and gave me lots and lots of compliments. I love you all a little more just for that. I loved the flippy do. Only problem is that it has to be blow dried right out of the shower. My morning routine is not conducive to such a hair style. I get up, shower and let my hair dry naturally. That nasty natural curl does nothing to help me out and I end up looking like I have a nasty mullet. So I bust out the flattening iron and iron the hell out of it. It looked cute straight too. Either way it was too much to take care of.
Then Lauri posted some suggestions for her own hair and I found one that I fell in love with*. I printed the photo and took it to my hair stylist**. She too liked the short one so we went for it. I went back to the reddish look, but I had in mind a bit closer to my natural color. I’m not picky on color. I’ve had babushka purple before.
So here you go:
This morning after using the flattening iron***
And this is me after

I love the new look! You are beautiful however you wear hair and I don’t think there’s a hairstyle that you couldn’t pull off. Too pretty to have any failure in this department. I KNOW I’m your Mom but IT’S True.
Looks very lovely and put together! Am jealous.
Your hair looks fabulous!!! Two thumbs up!
So adorable. Can’t wait to see it in person
And I have some cute pics of the boy at the water park last week. I’ll email them on

Very cute. I love it. Should be easier to take care of. I just got my hair highlighted today. Take care. Hugs, Aunt Jan
Your hair looks great! I like the darker red color too – makes you look like quite the little hottie. š
Looks great! I would so go that short if my face was as cute as yours…my double chin isn’t ready for that cut….
