Get out the vote

Today you begin your journey to elect which flavors you would like to see in a mixed box of Sweet Hope Truffles.  Four seats are up for grabs.  They will join the permanent seats of Plain Chocolate and Candy Cane.  Two flavors are seeking to retain their positions, one is looking to make a comeback and five are wanting to stage a take over.  Whomever wins, I hope they work together to make a delicious box of truffles that people will purchase and help orphaned children.

Here are the candidates:

Incumbents:

Irish Cream – Milk chocolate centers combined with Irish Cream liqueur, coated in dark chocolate dusted with light cocoa powder.

Mocha – Dark chocolate centers infused with locally roasted Covabrelli coffee, coated in dark chocolate and topped with a coffee bean

The comeback kid:

Pomegranate (this time she’s dropped white tea as a running mate) – Rich dark chocolate centers infused with fresh pomegranate juice, coated in dark chocolate and finished with chocolate shavings

The newcomers:

Port – Dark Chocolate ganache combined with Cockburn’s Special Reserve Ruby Port, coated in Dark Chocolate and topped with a hint of freshly grated nutmeg.

Honey – Milk Chocolate ganache infused with Pacific Northwest blackberry honey, coated in Dark Chocolate and finished with a chocolate swizzle.

Amaretto – Dark Chocolate ganache combined with Disarono Amaretto, coated in Dark Chocolate and finished with slivered almond.

Apricot Sage – Cream and butter are infused with fresh sage then combined with Dark chocolate and apricot brandy to make the ganache.  Truffles are coated in Dark Chocolate and topped with candied apricot

Madras Curry – Coconut milk, madras curry powder and dark chocolate are combined to make the ganache.  Truffles are coated in Dark Chocolate and topped with a curry-coconut powdered sugar.

If you would like to see the voting done by the taste testers you may visit the Sweet Hope Test Batch Ratings page to see the scores and read the reviews.  We are taking some of the suggestions from taste testers and may be tweaking the final products just a bit.

Voting is open from Monday, November 1 through Friday, November 5.  You may vote as many times as you like.

Truffles and caramels will be on sale starting Monday, November 8th.
