Gifts

One thing we can always use around here is a little bit of a helping hand*.  However, we live in an inconvenient place and it can be difficult for people to get here when we need it.  People ask, “besides help, is there anything else I can do?”   I have no clue to be totally honest.  I will eventually need someone to take me to get my nail polish put back on.  Oh darn, you have to go get a manicure.

Other’s have asked me if there is anything I like that could occupy my time.  I’m not much of a magazine reader, but do love books.  I have a whole list of books I’ve wanted to read.  My inside hobbies are calligraphy, hand lettering and watercolor painting.  However, I will have little use of my arms for a few weeks.

If you would like to send something here’s a list of little things (and the list of books).

  • A visit and bring coffee
  • Macaron cookies (I can’t get enough of them.  No coconut flavor… ew)
  • Flowers (although I teach floral design, I still like to get pretty flowers)
  • houseplants (again, I like plants)
  • Soft fuzzy socks
  • lip balm (the child steals mine all the time)
  • tea (the 432 different types of tea in my cupboard are not enough)
  • mechanical pencils (also pilfered by the small child)
  • Sakura Micron Pens (mine all ruptured on the flight to Bali and I have nothing to draw with)
