Stupid cute

Thank you for all of the wonderful flavor suggestions. ?Normally I go into Sweet Hope season with an idea of what I would like to make, but this year was different. ?I was so impressed with last year’s awesome suggestions that turned into even better truffles that I wanted this year to be free of expectations. ?You didn’t disappoint. ?The trouble will be narrowing that list down to 8 for everyone to vote on in November. ?There were 37 36 suggestions in all. ?I am really sorry, but bacon truffles really are not a possibility at all. ?Not even if anyone cooks the bacon for me. ?The challenge is that I keep the finished truffles in my unheated (and usually pretty cold) garage, but they are not under true refrigeration. ?Also, the packed boxes sit in my family room (at room temperature). ?All of this cold/warm change really isn’t good for perishable meat. ?Granted it is cooked meat, but would you leave a slice of bacon sitting out on your counter for a week and then eat it? ?I wouldn’t either. ?That being said, I don’t want to poison anyone so no bacon truffles.

We have a few ideas up our sleeves for added products this year. ?Price points will range anywhere from $5 to $15 so there should be something for everyone. ?In the next few weeks we are going to try out a few of the flavors you suggested and pick the best tasting ones for the final vote. ?Don’t worry this will be done by a mostly democratic process. ?We’ve begun recruiting (local) taste test volunteers.

Speaking of volunteers we still could use a few more sales volunteers. ?If you are interested in getting a box of truffles that you MUST share with people and then encourage them to purchase truffles contact me. ?We’ll be sending the samples out the week of November 2nd.

Now on to something that can only be described as stupid cute.

I spent a good portion of my summer redesigning Willow’s website. ?On the outset it may seem very plain and simple, but I assure you it was anything but. ?In exchange for my web design services I get pictures. ?It works out well for both of us. ?Besides, I then come here and gush about what a fabulously awesome photographer she is and it’s free advertising. ?Because if you live in the Tacoma area and Willow is not doing your family photos then there is something wrong with you.

She and I are both very busy people so actually getting together to look at the images has taken almost a month. ?However, the night after she did the shoot she sent me an email with the title “this is what we call stupid cute.” ?Oh was she ever right.

Last night she came over and we finally got to see the images she took. ?A-MA-ZING! ?I totally over ordered, but I couldn’t narrow the choices down. ?We also came up with a solution to my constant over ordering that will work out in the long run. ?Overall, I’m happy.

So you want to see why she is such an amazing photographer?

I love him so, I could eat him up. ?Don’t worry moms and aunties, she’s going to put up a web gallery so you can order at will.

He is SO cute, I don’t blame you a bit for wanting to just eat him up with a spoon! It is a good thing that we can order pictures. Look forward to doing that soon. Hugs,

Little boys are just about the best thing ever. You might want to go buy a gun now so you can keep the “hussies” away from him in a few years!
