Meanwhile… back at the ranch

our fearless heroine has had a serious case of the here and not.

Like this shiny clean blog? Me neither. In the process of trying to restore my site something happened with the database backup and well… it doesn’t work exactly. It does but it doesn’t. The posts are there, but something is all screwed up with the navigation. Through lots of trial and error and not paying attention to my child I have decided it is best to quit trying to make it work. The good news: I still have all the posts, but I will manually have to import them. Bad news: alas all the comments are gone yet again. Oh and that hair post, photos gone.

Over the next few days I will try to restore what once was the Life of Elle. Wish me luck.

I still hold to the promise of password protect. If you sent your email to me and didn’t get a response send it again. I tried to respond to everyone that emailed. The email address is elle at lifeofelle dot com. I will respond to you. I had a few days in there where email was hit and miss.

As of Monday February 26th you will need a password to access this site.

i sent you an email, but didn’t get a response. will send another one.

  2. Never mind that last post – just realized that I *did* get your response to my email. Doh.
I think the Academy Awards show ate my brain. Pretty sure it was Jack Nicholson’s terrifying pate.

  3. Hmmm. I believed all the hacker and password mumbo-jumbo until I heard that the hair post was gone. Now I think it was just all a big elaborate scheme… 🙂

  4. I’m glad to see Life of Elle back up, even if not in all its glory. 🙂 Hope you find a way to get back all your stuff, I can’t imagine how frustrating it has to be to lose it.

well you have succeeded in dragging me out of lurkdom and into the scary world of “leave a comment.” The fear of not having access to your blog overcomes my natural shy tendencies….so I guess I need to fire up my email program and shoot off an email to you to beg and plead for continued access to the blog…..
