Down and out

For the past few days I have woken up and felt like poo. Not quite hammered dog shit, but basic poo. The feeling usually subsides somewhere mid morning or at least after coffee. Today, no such luck. My night time wake up schedule has been all screwed up. I find it funny that everyone asks if the boy sleeps through the night. Yes he does. At least 2 of the 3 people in our house do. I am that lucky 3rd who does not. I have been on a regular schedule of up at 1 a.m. and then again at 6 a.m. With the alarm going off at 7. The night before it was 2 a.m. and 6:30. I like the 1 and 6 better. Last night it was 12:30 and 4 and 6:30. That little change just screws me up. Pretty sad when your sleep time is even scheduled.

Since I’ve been all screwed up I have no energy to do anything and even have become Princess get the hell away from me before I rip your lips off or at the very least Queen if you say “all done vacuum” one more time I might just sell you to the internets. Needless to say I have a bit of a short temper. To get a short break I took the boy to the trusty husbands office so I could sit in a chair while someone else entertained him. Am I a cool mom or what?

On the productive front I did get the floor swept. I figured it was time when I was eating the boy’s choking hazards Cheerios and the husband says, “you know those are the Cheerios he threw on the floor this morning.” Hmm. I thought I tasted cat hair. I also momentarily contemplated rearranging the living room furniture until I remembered that oh yeah, it only fits one way. Why oh why did I have to buy such big furniture?

I also got the password sent out this afternoon. I got 4 returns on addresses so if you didn’t get the email let me know and I will reply with the secret squirrel access code. There may or may not be a secret handshake involved. Also, there was only 1 family member that asked for said password in email form. If you told me over the phone that you want it, it is a good possibility that I wasn’t listening or that I just plain forgot. So send me an email. I do want to say how proud I am of all my lurkers! Thanks guys. I am not brow beating you into commenting, but I just wanted to say thanks for delurking even if it is just to me.

    How are you doing on your calcium? When always have trouble sleeping and wake up several times a night when I haven’t been keeping up on my calcium… just a thought

    Sorry you’re sleep deprived…sucks to not be sleeping when your kid is!

    I’ve been falling asleep on the couch – waking up at 2 or 3AM and then going to bed. I have to get up about 6:30 for work. Maybe that’s why my fuse feels a bit short these days?

  5. wow – something is in the water. i’ve been having messed up sleep, too. but for me, it’s the getting to sleep bit. once i’m down, i am DOWN and OUT. and then i can barely drag my sorry ass out of bed in the morning. i need more than 4 to 5 hours a night, i can tell you that. but i probably don’t need to tell you that. and, it’s probably actually annoying to have someone tell you that when you just posted about it.
    never mind me.

  7. Sorry you’ve been feeling bad… I had thought about giving you a call sometime, mid- to late- last week, to get your feed back on some stuff. Hmmm…guess it’s a good thing I was so busy at work that I never got to pick up the phone! Ha – just kidding! I hope you start feeling better. I agree with chou-chou, there must be something in the water, ’cause I haven’t been sleeping well lately, either!
