So you know how last year y’all bought a bunch of chocolate and I sent the money to Russia? Wasn’t that fun? And tasty? We had a super great time didn’t we? And we’ll do it again this year. Don’t worry, chocolate will be plentiful. Thing is, I saw how much money could be raised and that the amount goes up every year. To be honest, I get down on my hands and knees and thank the world (God included) for such awesome people that would give their money to help these children. I pull out the receipts and newspaper articles from Russia and look at them and say thank you.
Every year I say that I want to send more and more money. This year is no exception. I want you to buy as much chocolate as possible, but I’ve come up with a scheme idea to raise even more money. Call me crazy, but wouldn’t a benefit concert kick ass? If done correctly would raise quite a bit of money. Trouble is, I’m not sure I can do this one by myself. Lord knows I can’t make all of the chocolates by myself anymore. I need help.
A benefit concert seems pretty simple right? Uh, not so much. I need a venue (preferably one that will let me use it for free and one that seats a lot of people). I need bands (also, that would play for free and if you are someone like Dave Matthews that would like to raise money for Russian orphans that would kick ass). I need promotors (free people). And I need concert goers (those need to be able to shell out a couple of bucks for a ticket and who might like to buy some chocolate). What do I have so far? Um, nothing. Just an idea. Oh yeah, I want to do this in November if possible. Only because that’s when I’m selling chocolate and if you’re attending a concert you might as well buy some chocolate too. The organization is called SWEET HOPE for a reason.
If you would like to help in any way please let me know. I would love all of the (free) help I can get. Email me at elle @ lifeofelle . com. I would love you forever. If you would like to sponsor the event that would be cool too. Or if you are Dave Matthews… yeah I was totally serious.
In other fun Sweet Hope news… we finally got our own domain name yesterday. So look for a link for that coming soon.

That would be awesome! Dream big – you never know. Now that you’ve put it out there, you might just find a way to make it happen! Good luck. Wish there was some way I could help, but I can’t think how. I will promise to buy more chocolate!
Wish there was some way I could help too. If you think of anything, let me know. In the meantime, I’ll post a link to this on my blog and in FB, just in case I have any readers that don’t also check in here and who would be interested in helping out.
BTW, I’ve done quite a bit of backstage work in the theatre, so if I could help out in that capacity, let me know.
