Greetings from the land of without my child.  As in I’m sitting in a coffee shop without my child.  And then going to a movie.  Not a kid movie either.  One that might contain a swear word or twelve.  In between I’m going to have dinner I won’t cut anyone’s meat except my own.

Where is the child?  Don’t worry, we left a water dish out for him.  I kid.  He’s with the trusty in-laws.  We figured that if we’re going to leave him with them for a week later this summer he should try out staying at their house.  And then… my mom called and she’s taking the boy next week.  As in two nights in one week child free.  Does it get any better than that.

That’s all I have to say about that.

Congrats on the freedom! I have a diving weekend coming up, and I can’t wait to get out of the house for two whole days without my kids!

First I have to tell you that your Irish Soda bread is awesome.

Next I have to say that I hear you on the getting out on your own. I could feel stress leaving me as I read your post. Have fun!
