This may come as a shock

I had a job interview today.  A real live job interview.  One where I had to actually think about what shoes I was going to wear and put on lipstick.  A job that (if I get it) would pay me real money and I would work in an office.  The thought of having a job scares the crap out of me.  I don’t want to miss out on anything with the boy, but he and I are at the point that we need our space.  Oh and money, I like money.

I don’t want to go into detail about the whole thing too much because there are a good number of locals that read my blog and I’m one of 8 candidates for the job.  Needless to say I haven’t interviewed for a job since 2002 and I didn’t totally suck at it.  I feel fairly qualified for the job and am passionate about the position so I think that is a bonus.

They hope to have a decision by the beginning of next week.  It’s a fast process.  I think it went well.  Their parting words were, “your knowledge of our vendors is impressive.”  That’s good right?  Or did I name drop too much?

Now if you’ll pardon me I’m going to have a really spicy Indian dinner, drink a few glasses of wine and celebrate Dine out for Life Night in style, with my two main men.

Good luck! I love being back at work … it’s so much easier than being a SAHM. Plus you get adult conversation, chance to go out for lunch (with adults) and money.

I have also enjoyed my evenings more with Rita … and looking forward to the entire weekend together!!!

Good luck with the job!! I know its difficult to work out the right amount of time with the kiddo. But, in the end, you have to do what’s right for you. Keep us posted :)
