I’ve had people leave a few comments and send me a few emails for links, but it isn’t nearly enough. I’m still searching for your favorite adoption information and support links. I am not going to spend hours scouring the internet for them simply because you guys have already done it. I have my select few that I read or refer to, but other than that I have nothing. So please! Send me your links. You never know, you might be doing someone a favor. Leave a comment or send them to elle at lifeofelle dot com.

And thanks to those who have sent me links so far!

Hi Elle! I just wanted to pop in and say HI and thanks for the National Adoption Awareness Month logo. I just turned my blog very purple and have added the logo. Unfortunately, I don’t have any good links to give you… I really only read FRUA, but if I come across anything I will let you know. Thanks again!

The best older child forum that I’ve found is at soulofadoption.com . It’s active, has lots of diiferent perspectives and the people using it are generally well-informed.

It’s used by ap’s who’ve adopted “older” children domestically and internationally.

For families adopting from Kazakhstan, http://kazakhadoptivefamilies.com/ is a really great site!
    The government site http://travel.state.gov/family/adoption/country/country_369.html
has the rundown on every country and what is required for the process to adopt from them.

I’m having trouble changing the color to purple…big trouble. I’m such a helpless inept blogger.

So…how do I get on your list for a blog design?! LOL

Off the top of my head, I’d recommend:

    FRUA.com
A great site for those adopting from Russia, Ukraine, Kaz and other eastern European countries

    Adoptshoppe.com
Great place to buy adoption-related gifts.

Any of the YahooGroups appropriate to where you are looking to adopt from. I’m a member of the Russian Adoption Yahoo Group, the Novosibirsk (our particular region) Yahoo Group and the group for each of the orphanages where my boys are from. Absolutely an INVALUABLE resource — especially before you travel!

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

LOVE the new header. V. cool.

    (I went purple too, BTW).

I know lots of fun time-waster links on the internet, but nothing great adoption related that you wouldn’t already know about.

The new header is great! And Quin loves the “carrots” at the bottom of your blog!

Love your new look……. I agree with Karen’s adoption links and I like Buckner’s charity work, such as their shoes for orphans programs.

Hey Rhonda…. did you go private girly????? Can’t get to your blog…

Have you seen this one? http://www.woodruffs.com/dfaqpage.html
Dumb Frequently Asked Questions DFAQ (They’re from China adoptive parents but they still apply I think)
